In listing products to your eCommerce sites, it's very important to include the product model because it helps your site getting more visible online and helps customers to find the products exactly what they need . Google also enforced that on every products posted should must includes the MPN (stands for Manufacturers code) for Google Merchant feeds requirement and they will certainly penalize eCommerce sites that don't follow.
So, Product Model & MPN are the same?
The answer is most of the time its Yes but it defends on the manufacturer.Some products had both the model number and the MPN the same while others are not.The best way to find out the accurate Model # or MPN is to browse the manufacturer's website or checking the product manual included in the package.
